The Skin Care Essentials Course is designed for those who want to build a solid and structured foundation in skin care, understand the skin, its structure and functions, different skin types and their needs, before progressing to practical training and professional practice.
Over 20 training hours, participants progress from understanding the fundamentals of the skin to identifying different skin types and common skin concerns, understanding skin care products and their ingredients, and developing a skin care routine tailored to individual needs.
Your learning journey begins with understanding the skin from within. You will explore the structure of the skin, its main layers and the function of each layer, as well as the skin’s essential roles in protection, temperature regulation, and sensation. You will also learn about the skin cell renewal process and natural exfoliation.
You will then move on to understanding different skin types, including oily, dry, normal, sensitive, and combination skin. You will learn the characteristics of each type, the key differences between them, and how to better identify and understand individual skin needs.
The course also covers some of the most common skin concerns, including acne, hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores, and common concerns around the eye area, with a focus on understanding their causes and the basic principles of care and prevention.
In addition, you will learn about skin care products and their ingredients, how to understand them, and how to select products according to different skin needs. This knowledge will help you develop a more structured daily skin care routine and an individualized care plan.
Because knowing the names of skin care products alone is not enough.
Before asking, “Which product should I use?”, you first need to understand: What is the skin type? What does the skin need? What concern are we addressing?
For this reason, the course focuses on developing the knowledge needed to understand the skin before selecting the appropriate care, providing you with a structured foundation that prepares you for the next stage of practical skin care training.
This course is suitable for individuals interested in entering the field of skin care, beauty and skin care professionals, pharmacists and pharmacy students, doctors and nurses, beauty business owners, as well as professionals working in related health, beauty, and cosmetic fields.
After completing the course, you will no longer view skin care simply as matching a skin type with a suitable product. Instead, you will have a structured knowledge base that helps you understand skin structure, distinguish between different skin types and their needs, recognize common skin concerns, understand skin care products, and develop a more organized approach to daily skin care.
Upon completion of the course, participants will also receive a certificate accredited locally and internationally by PTC Academy.
If you are looking to enter the field of skin care, this course provides a strong starting point for building your knowledge before progressing to practical training.
